I want to tell you what we’re up against in 2018 \u2013 and to ask you to help us meet the enormous challenges ahead.<\/p>\n

At\u00a0Women’s Rights Without Frontiers<\/a>, we are world leaders in the fight to keep China accountable for its cruel forced population control policies – a battle most governments have given up on.<\/p>\n

With your help, in 2017:<\/p>\n

– We took the lead in exposing continued forced abortion under China\u2019s new Two-Child Policy, especially of single mothers and third babies.<\/p>\n

– We successfully advocated for the ending of US funding of coercive population control in China through the UNFPA and International Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n

– And of course, as of this year, hundreds of baby girls and moms have been saved from coercive population control and deadly son preference thanks to our \u201cSave A Girl\u201d campaign!<\/p>\n

There’s no doubt:\u00a0we’re impacting the global conversation on China<\/strong>. This is a big victory!<\/p>\n

But here’s the thing: the Chinese government wants to get us off their back, and they know how to do it.<\/p>\n

Last year, the Chinese government made the misleading announcement that they were \u201cabandoning\u201d the One Child Policy.\u00a0 This was a convenient way to shut down news headlines exposing their brutal population control, without ending the actual practice.\u00a0 Forced abortion and gendercide continue under the “Two Child Policy.”<\/p>\n

The sad thing is, this actually worked. Media everywhere started discussing the coercive One Child Policy as a thing of the past!\u00a0 And we are letting the world know that it\u2019s still happening!<\/p>\n

In 2018, we’ve got to keep China from getting away with this “change in name only.”<\/p>\n
