\u00a0will host a panel at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW).\u00a0 The event, entitled, \u201cGender Equality and Empowerment of Women and Girls in Rural Asia,\u201d\u00a0will take place\u00a0Thursday, March 22, from 6:15 to 7:45pm p.m. at the United Nations Church Center in New York (details below).\u00a0\u00a0The event is open to the public and does not require pre-registration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reggie Littlejohn, Founder and President of Women\u2019s Rights without Frontiers, stated, \u201cThis is the second year that the UNCSW approved WRWF to host an event ourselves.\u00a0 I am thrilled to have been invited back and delighted to host Dr. Joel Brind.\u00a0 It will be such an honor to speak to the attendees of the UNCSW \u2013 eminent women from all over the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Littlejohn will focus her remarks on the suffering caused by forced abortion and the sex-selective abortion of baby girls in rural China and India, as well as WRWF\u2019s answer through our \u201cSave a Girl\u201d Campaign.\u00a0 Dr. Brind will focus on studies of women in Asia linking abortion with increased risk of breast cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n
