WRWF to Host Panel at United Nations: Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women and Girls in Rural Asia

 will host a panel at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW).  The event, entitled, “Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women and Girls in Rural Asia,” will take place Thursday, March 22, from 6:15 to 7:45pm p.m. at the United Nations Church Center in New York (details below).  The event is open to the public and does not require pre-registration.

Reggie Littlejohn, Founder and President of Women’s Rights without Frontiers, stated, “This is the second year that the UNCSW approved WRWF to host an event ourselves.  I am thrilled to have been invited back and delighted to host Dr. Joel Brind.  It will be such an honor to speak to the attendees of the UNCSW – eminent women from all over the world.”

Littlejohn will focus her remarks on the suffering caused by forced abortion and the sex-selective abortion of baby girls in rural China and India, as well as WRWF’s answer through our “Save a Girl” Campaign.  Dr. Brind will focus on studies of women in Asia linking abortion with increased risk of breast cancer.

The event will take place on the2nd Floor of the United Nations Church Center, 777 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017-3521.   Once on the 2nd Floor, participants will be directed to the room.
