Steve Bannon recently interviewed me about the fact that we are at great risk of being trapped in a “Digital Gulag.” This trap would be constructed of a mandatory digital ID (such as a vaccine passport, smart health card, or mandatory digital driver’s license) combined with a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). The mandatory digital ID can be used as a tool of surveillance and scoring whether we are “good” citizens (compliant with the government’s narrative), like China’s Social Credit System. The CBDC can be “programmable,” so that the federal government would be able to control what you spend, how much you spend, when you spend and where you spend.
