The Biden administration has initiated the greatest voluntary surrender of our national sovereignty since our Republic was founded.
At a meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland between the 22nd and 28th of May, U.S.-proposed amendments will be adopted that would make the Director-General of the WHO the sole arbiter of what is a “public health emergency of international concern” and dictate how our government and others must respond to it.
The WHO seriously mishandled the Covid-19 pandemic, promoting the lies of the Chinese Communist Party, which lies caused the deaths of millions. Do you want these same non-elected incompetents telling the U.S. how to handle the next pandemic? The WHO could force the U.S. to vaccinate everyone, force mask mandates, lockdowns, and quarantines.
Also, the term, “Public Health Emergency,” is ill-defined and could include not only a viral pandemic, but also a rise in crime rates, climate change, or any other issue that arguably may affect “public health.” Further, the attempt to slip this surrender of sovereignty through quietly as a series of amendments to the current International Health Regulations constitutes an attempt to subvert the treaty process, thus performing an end-run around our legislature and the legislatures of the world.

China’s Social Credit System – a formidable instrument of mass surveillance and totalitarian control – may be implemented in the United States and world-wide through, among other things, combining a digital vaccine passport infrastructure and a cashless society. As the vaccine and mask mandates are being relaxed, the vaccine passport – deceptively re-labeled as a “smart health card” or “digital ID” — is being quietly rolled out in states across our nation. Within minutes, these digital passes can incorporate all the surveillance technology used in China’s Social Credit System.
In a cashless society, banks, credit card companies and authorities could track all our spending and sever us from our financial resources – as was recently done by the Canadian government when truckers and their supporters suddenly found that they could not access their credit cards or bank accounts.
What is more, the U.S. government wants to have the Department of Homeland Security serve as Thought Police through a so-called “Disinformation Governance Board” that will, inevitably, employ a Social Credit System to monitor, silence and perhaps otherwise punish political opponents.
All this could become institutionalized and weaponized unless we understand what is afoot, and take action now.

As people are breathing a sigh of relief at the easing up of vaccine and mask mandates, the vaccine passports – called “SMART Health Cards” or Digital IDs — are being quietly rolled out across our nation and internationally. Especially when combined with a cashless society, these can be used to usher in a system similar to China’s “Social Credit Score,” placing us under surveillance and taking away our freedoms. It is appalling that the Biden administration is proposing a 72% increase in the funding to the UNFPA, from $32.5 to 56 million for 2023, with no restrictions on allocations to China. Every dollar of these funds comes out of the pockets of U.S. taxpayers.
UNFPA has worked hand in hand with the brutal Chinese Communist Party for decades. For this reason, the Reagan, Bush and Trump administrations all defunded the UNFPA as a violation of the Kemp-Kasten Amendment.
Kemp-Kasten states that no funding can be made available to “any organization or program which, as determined by the President of the United States, supports or participates in the management of a program of coercive or involuntary sterilization.” This broad language was intended to prevent U.S. tax dollars from funding coercive population control in China.
UNFPA apologists argue that it does not directly participate in coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization. Kemp-Kasten, however, does not require that the organization directly participate in forced abortions. Collaboration with an entity that implements a coercive population control program is enough. This is a low threshold, which UNFPA has been found repeatedly to have crossed.
Forced abortion and involuntary sterilization continue at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party to this day. According to the just-released Congressional-Executive Commission on China’s Annual Report, “. . .women in China continue to face forced abortion [and] sterilization . . .”
The worst instances of coercion have occurred in Xinjiang, where the U.S. State Department has determined that the Chinese Communist Party is committing genocide. The CECC Report states:
“Uyghur and other Turkic Muslim women who were formerly detained in mass internment camps in the XUAR have reported being subjected to coercive birth control measures, including forced implantation of intrauterine devices (IUDs), forced sterilization, and forced abortion.”
UNFPA cannot, therefore, credibly argue that it does not violate Kemp-Kasten because China has moved to a three-child policy. Coercive population control continues, especially in Xinjiang.
Throughout the entire history of UNFPA in China, the Chinese Communist Party has engaged in coercive population control. Far from condemning these policies, the UNFPA has collaborated with the very entity responsible for enforcing them. Indeed in 1983 — at the height of the brutality of China’s forced abortion polity –- the UNFPA gave its highest award to the head of the National Family Planning Commission, Qian Xinshong.
In my opinion, U.S. funding of UNFPA violates Kemp-Kasten. It is morally repugnant for U.S. taxpayers unwittingly to be forced to underwrite some of the greatest human rights atrocities on earth today, including forced abortions and sterilizations. As long as we are funding UNFPA, the blood of Chinese women and babies is on our hands.

We recently co-sponsored an event in Washington, D.C. honoring Enes Kanter Freedom, as well as Peng Shuai and Zhang Zhan, for their heroic stand for freedom and truth against the brutal Chinese Communist Party. Voice of America (“VOA”) covered the event and produced two videos. In the first, Mr. Freedom speaks out about human rights in China. He has recently been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I am interviewed about corporate complicity with human rights abuses in China.

In the second video, VOA interviews me about the case of Peng Shuai, the Chinese tennis star who accused a senior official of sexually assaulting her. She disappeared for three weeks and then announced her retirement from tennis. Her safety remains uncertain to this day.
March 8 marks International Women’s Day, in which the Chinese Communist Party celebrates its supposed empowerment of women, who Mao once famously said “hold up half the sky.” The reality for many women in China, however, is far different.
The disturbing video of a woman, chained by the neck, wearing thin clothing in cold, winter weather, has gone viral in China, sparking outrage. The woman is shown living in a squalid hut with no door, in the rural outskirts of Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. She is said to be the mother of eight children, seven boys and one girl. The Chinese Communist Party has issued several, contradictory statements regarding the woman – including the allegation that she is suffering from mental illness — leading to skepticism and anger on the part of Chinese netizens.
The plight of this forsaken woman is heartbreaking. It raises pressing questions. What is her true identity? Was she trafficked? How was she allowed to have eight children under the One Child Policy? Do the children all have the same father, or several fathers? Why didn’t authorities in her village protect her? Why would it matter that she might suffer from mental illness? Would this somehow justify chaining her around the neck and leaving her in scant clothing in an unheated, open-air hut? Where is she now? Are she and her children safe?
The shocking treatment of this woman raises the issue of sexual slavery in China. Because of the lethal combination of son preference and a coercive low birth limit under the historic One Child Policy, tens of millions of baby girls have been selectively aborted or abandoned, just because they were female. This has led to a situation where there are an estimated 30 to 40 million more males living in China than females. This catastrophic gender imbalance is driving sexual slavery within China and from the surrounding countries.
For several years in a row, China has been rated a “Tier 3” nation in the United States Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons (“TIP”) Report, because “The [CCP] does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking and is not making significant effort to do so . . .” Indeed, the TIP report raises the specter of the complicity of officials in sex trafficking.
Despite continued reports of law enforcement officials benefiting from, permitting, or directly facilitating sex trafficking and forced labor, the government did not report any investigations, prosecutions, or convictions of law enforcement officials allegedly involved in the crime.
Did the officials in Xuzhou City know about the mother of eight, chained in their midst? If they did, why didn’t they help her? Were they complicit in her abuse?
On International Women’s Day, let us not forget the chained mother of eight, and those who, like her, are victims of human trafficking and sexual slavery, in China and worldwide.
One fifth of the women in the world today live in China. The women of the world will not be free until the women of China are free.
